FOOD: It's sometimes dangerous to order anything other than baked pasta at a neighborhood restaurant. If you give in to those fears here, you will be missing the reason why there is a line out the door on many evenings. Lines tend to start a little later around 7PM.
DISHES: The homemade FRESH GARLIC rolls will be enough to keep you returning to this place forever. Truly addicting. Another Dallas "institution's" soggy garlic "bread" should make that place on Mockingbird ashamed of themselves.
AMBIANCE: A cute neighborhood restaurant with ambience on the same level, if not a touch more romantic, than any Le Madeleine.
SERVICE: Always attentive even at peak times. And if it takes awhile, who cares with those addictive garlic rolls.
WARNING--> Beware of the ONE weakness. I have had non-baked entrees (veal etc) served at lukewarm temperatures. For this there is no excuse. Send it back if this happens.
OVERALL: If I want Italian food, this is where I will always go! No exceptions. Excellent value for the money!!
BAR: Yes
OTHER: The TV/radio? in the bar area which is open and in the same room as the restaurant needs to go! |
