Unfortunately the Clam Broth House is now only a memory. It was torn down due to structural damage. Here's an article about it distributed by the Associated Press. http://www.sptimes.com/2004/08/07/news_pf/Worldandnation/Hoboken_s_famed_Clam_.shtml
It recently made an appearance as the fourth place finisher in the Weird NJ's 2005 Halloween Party at the Stone Pony.

I can't begin to describe all the great memories of family, food and doing shots of clam juice at The House. I remember being amazed at all the pictures of celebrities on the walls. Hope this is not the end of an era! |

I always loved the food at the CBH, as we call it. Well, we went there the other day and the place was closed down and it appeared that it was under renovation. Is that true? It looked like the building was being gutted out. Does anyone know what happened to this landmark restaurant?
[Ed Note]: Number is disconnected, appears to be closed. |
