Among affordable restaurants, Laghi is by far the most exceptional choice for Northern Italian food. The menu changes constantly with the seasons, so there are always new, delicious dishes to choose from no matter how often you go.
All of their food is wonderful, from salads and appetizers to meat courses to desserts and coffee, but it's their homemade pastas that really stand out. They don't just make plain pasta, they make mushroom pasta, squid ink pasta, orange zest pasta, chestnut pasta, and more. Then they pair them with spectacular sauces, and you end up with dishes that silence the table as everyone enjoys their food.
Their desserts are consistently good as well, and some have been amazing standouts. My favorite was the summer tiramisu - lady fingers drizzled with berry liquer layered with mascarpone, peaches, and strawberries - totally breathtaking. Their chocolate gelato is also delectable.
Unless you're looking to break the bank, I would recommend this Italian restaurant above all others. |
