They serve "Prime", USDA, steaks, all natural, hormone free chicken and "slow roasted" Iowa baby back ribs, all made over a wood fired grill or in their wood fired rotisserie using a fragrant combination of Mesquite and Oak woods. Italian influence; Ribollita - a rustic Italian soup with borlotti beans, kale, carrots, imported Parmesan and pork shank. American influence; Maryland Blue Crab cakes with fresh corn salsa. Looking for some comfort food? Try the "Fork and Knife" Salad, a wedge of iceberg, candied walnuts, roma tomatoes dripping with blue cheese dressing and a rack of the slow cooked, honey, BBQ Baby Rack Ribs.
The Spark Woodfire Grill on Pico Boulevard is on three completely diverse levels each with its own personality and atmosphere; the lower level has a very "New York" feel with a traditional long Mahogany bar, glassed in kitchen and private patio, the middle level is more elegant with large semi circular booths, Tuscan orange walls and vaulted ceilings and upon entering the upper level you discover a glassed in Martini Bar surrounded by leather love seats, over stuffed chairs and cozy conversation areas.

We live around the corner from Spark and go at least twice a week. Sometimes it is fun just to sit at the bar, order a pizza, watch TV and talk to Dan the bartender. Last time we went for a birthday and there were 10 of us. Everyone loved it. The mesquite grilled salmon was excellent and they had a Prime Rib special that was amazing. They also have online ordering for delivery that even my 10 year old can figure out. |
