I order 2 to 3 times a month... the food is great.... however.. 50% of the time the wrong order is delivered.... and the new policy for no checks at apartments is not acceptable... I have paid with checks for 2yrs and not one has been NSF....
I dont like being profiled... it is like saying you are part of the mob because you are Italian....
I may live in an apartment, but, I am responsible and have proven that in the past 2 yrs. |

A group of us (at least 26 nurses) dined at Vitucci's on 4/15/2004. Four of got sick after dinner. The "Basic Pasta" meal consisted of wilted greens and vinaigrette dressing. The lasagna had stale cheese and no other stuffing. The other pastas just had the basic tomatoe sauce. Maybe that is why they called it basic. But we paid $20. per head. And all we had was soda or coffee, the wilted salad and the tomatoed basic pasta. We are all food lovers and have dined at better places. It is just so unfortunate that we thought Vituccis served good italian food. I think I am calling them to let them know, in case they don't log in to view these reviews. |

Vitucci's has been our favorite Italian place for years. The atmosphere is very romantic with candles, roses on the table, and nice music playing while you dine. A true Italian ambiance.
The food has been consistently good over the years with the chicken parmagiana being our favorite. We usually take a bottle of our favorite red wine. There is a $5 corkage fee.
Salads are fresh greens with tomatoes and a nice slice of homemade mozzarella. The bread is served with a nice dipping oil.
Service is very efficient and the desserts are also very good. The cannolli is the perfect way to end the meal.
I also enjoyed the calamari which was cooked to perfection in white wine and capers with a side of penne pasta.
This is our favorite Italian in this ara. Bon Appetit!! |

We discovered Vitucci's while on a shopping trip, and dragged ourselves in for a quick lunch. But it turned into a dining experience we hadn't expected. Incredible service, the finest lasagna I've ever eaten - bar none - delicious, lightly-dressed salad, wow! I could actually taste the fresh spinach and other greens. My wife had the grilled chicken and penne. I'm a tomato sauce freak. Theirs is the best I've tasted in all the cities I've lived in - including New York City, Indianapolis and others. |

First of all, we were waiting so long on our meal after ordering that the waitress apologized and gave us each a free glass of wine. Then, the dinner I ordered was not what I was given, so again the waitress apologized and brought it back. When the corrected meal was brought to the table, guess what? They had put the old, now cold and limp vegetables and other side dishes right on the new plate!
And the breaded dishes had a nasty taste of old grease.
The red sauce I must admit was pretty good. But like I said, I don't plan on going back unless someone tells me they've got a new cook. |
