La Pasta is one of the last resturants in the Conejo Valley that stands independent in the increasingly corporate restaurant business world. The two waiter-co-owners and the one bartender are both jovial and efficient--what more could you expect from an Italian restaurant?
Seating about 50 people (guestimate), it's a cosy establishment that's been open for more than 10 years, frequented by tried-and-true "usuals."
The dim-lit ambiance is provided by white Christmas lights, and the art on the walls isn't exactly Italian--but after all, we *are* in America, and even though it's not the most elegant place around, what it lacks in elegance, it makes up in service.
If you can deal without an $8 glass of wine, then it's a moderate blow to your wallet. Not expensive, not cheap--but well worth your time. |
